this retreat, abundant with true, spacious self-care and uplifting connection, is for YOU.
Returning to Holwell Holistic Retreat Centre for the fifth time, this sell-out retreat has become an important
space for mothers, for women, to honour themselves, and each other.
Expect nurturing practices caring for our inner-world, reflective journaling, restorative yoga, and delicious nourishing food.
The wood-fired sauna over looking rolling fields, an (optional) massage will slow down your Saturday, replenish and rejuvenate,
with plenty of spacious time throughout to simply nap, sleep well, read, or simply be - however you choose.
So let's connect, feel the uplifting strengths from mothers in Circle, connecting as women, and learn how to mindfully slow down,
and take good care of ourselves with the same kindness, presence and compassion we readily share with our loved ones.

The Retreat
Gather for this two night retreat at the cosy Holwell Holistic Retreat Centre, surrounded by spacious North Devon countryside. Cosy spaces, twin and private rooms, log burning stoves and a private garden make for a welcoming farmhouse home from home.
As well as deeply restful and intuitive yoga to unwind and reconnect to you, Carolyn will guide self-connection Journaling and grounding mindfulness, for you to explore reflective, uolifting and creative practices.
Saturday morning is sauna time with the wood burning sauna over looking rolling hills and sheep offering the perfect place to pause and replenish. A massage therapist will be available if you would like to book.
Yoga - Breath, bodymind, being
Friday and Saturday candlelit Restorative Yoga, will offer nervous system rest and regulation for your whole being. Think blankets, bolsters, eye-pillows, gentle music and supportive guidance for you to take what you need to (re)connect to you.
Saturday and Sunday morning will explore an intuitive yoga practice, in movement and still places. This is about softening edges, letting go of expectations of what yoga 'should' look like, and leaning into how you FEEL allowing your intuitive mind-body to guide the way.
Just like we find our own way as mothers, practising acceptance, softening and letting be (as hard as this can be at times) can be fostered on the yoga mat too.
Everything is optional. This is your weekend to look after you, and take what you need for your sense of wellbeing, any way you need.

Nourish
Savouring delicious, seasonal food around the dining table is an important part of retreat time. Our talented chef Joe Nicholson www.satorifood.co.uk is passionate about creating indulgent plant-based food, with an every growing passion for sustainability and wellness.
All food will be Vegetarian, home grown, seasonal or locally sourced. Vegan and all dietary requests catered for with advance booking.

The yoga was so empowering and like nothing I have experienced before. I felt entirely comfortable to do whatever my body felt comfortable with and not put pressure on myself to do it in the ‘Instagram’ way!
The reassurance and support from you and everyone else meant that I felt OK about leaving the boys at home with their dad. I didn’t obsess about checking my phone and wasn’t in a rush to get home - all of these things are new to me!

Just another thank you for this weekend. It was truly magical and incredibly, profoundly healing. Do you know the waves of energy/relaxation/prana that wash over you during shavasana? I still feel those today. I continue to unwind and unfold. I was in a huge amount of pain and I just I can’t believe how loose and at ease my body feels now, as does my soul. You are such a gift to mothers - so gentle and warm..
It’s been so wonderful to be reunited with my son full of joy and energy and a new appreciation for him. Plus some amazing new sleep habits. I will definitely be back on future retreats.
